Aden Refinery Company declares comprehensive strike

ADEN, Jan. 26 (YPA) – Dozens of workers of the Aden Refinery Company announced on Wednesday the start of a comprehensive strike for work in the city of Aden, south of Yemen.

Head of the union committees of the Aden Refinery Company, “Ghassan Jawad,” confirmed in a protest rally that the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government “is still making promises and selling illusions to the workers.

Jawad called for setting a timetable for restarting the refinery, providing salaries and continuing the cash incentive from oil revenues, as well as solving all other financial and administrative problems.

The participants, in the rally, threatened to stop supplying the oil company with fuel in the event that the” does not respond to their demands.
