SANAA, Jan. 26 (YPA) – The Ministry of Public Health and Population in Sanaa has warned of the repercussions of the detention of fuel ships by Saudi-led coalition countries and its impact on the health sector.
The ministry said that the arbitrary practices of the coalition countries would lead to the stop of many public and private hospitals, facilities, specialized centers, dialysis centers, oxygen factories, medical laboratories, blood banks, and sections of intensive care and emergencies during the coming hours.
“This puts the lives of tens of thousands of patients and citizens at risk of certain death,” the ministry added.
The ministry held the coalition countries, the international community and the United Nations fully responsible for the repercussions of the continued detention of fuel ships.
In a statement issued after a protest pause organized by the cadres and employees of the Ministry of Health on Tuesday, in cooperation with the Yemeni Petroleum Company in Sanaa, the ministry affirmed that the continued detention of oil derivatives ships, the closure of Sanaa International Airport, and the continued bombing represented the worst disaster facing the Yemeni people.
The statement called on the free peoples of the world to stand in solidarity with the Yemeni people to stop the war, lift the siege, open Sanaa Airport and seaports, and allow the entry of fuel ships urgently to meet the needs of the health sector and other vital sectors.
