SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected cold to very cold conditions in the mountainous heights in most Yemeni provinces during the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the cold weather would focus on the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan and Shabwa, with light rainfall on coast areas.
The weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with the possibility of light rain on parts of the western and southern coasts, and the winds to be light to moderate and active.
It is also expected that the weather in the desert areas might be clear and relatively cold during the night and early morning, while the weather in the Socotra archipelago would be partly cloudy, with northeasterly moderate winds.
The center called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients and workers, to take the necessary precautions to prevent themselves from cold weather.
