Armed confrontations erupt in Marib

MARIB, Jan. 25 (YPA) – Armed confrontations erupted on Tuesday among armed factions of the Saudi-led coalition in in desert areas of Harib district of Marib province.

According to local sources, the clashes escalated between the forces of the Saudi-backed exiled Hadi government” and the UAE-funded al-Amaliqa elements in the district.

Tribal sources reported that clashes between the armed faction of Islah and al-Amaliqa came against the backdrop of Islah’s efforts to control the areas of the outskirts of Harib, while the al-Amaliqa seeks to tighten its grip on them within the framework of its plan to secure the districts of western Shabwa.
