JAWF, Jan. 18 (YPA) – Security and anti-smuggling agencies, in coordination with the General Department of Plant Protection, seized on Tuesday four and a half tons of banned pesticides in Al-Dhalfan area of Jawf province.
The manager of plants protection in Agriculture Ministry, Hilal Al-Jashari declared that the seized pesticides were hidden on board a large truck covered with a quantity of cement.
He pointed out that the shipment was seized and transferred to the agriculture team at Jawf customs port to complete the necessary procedures.
The engineer Hilal praised the role of the security services in controlling such quantities and failing the plans of the aggression and its attempts to introduce harmful pesticides to the Yemeni lands.
