Libyan army closes border crossings with Sudan, Chad

TRIPOLI, Jan. 13 (YPA) – The Libyan National Army  announced the closure of the border crossing with Sudan and Chad until further notice.

The “Paths of Peace” battalion stated on its Facebook account that it had decided to close the “border crossing with the countries of Sudan and Chad until further notice,” calling upon all vehicle and truck drivers to abide by this decision, “to preserve their safety at the present time.”

Earlier, a Libyan military source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Sputnik that two people on a fishing trip in the desert had been killed in an armed attack by unknown assailants.
