Sanaa forces impose siege on coalition militants in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 09 (YPA) – Sanaa’s government forces managed on Sunday to impose the Saudi-led coalition in the desert separating the two districts of Osaylan and Bayhan of Shabwa.

According to sources, the Sanaa forces targeted groups of militants of the UAE-backed “Fifth Brigade” al-Amaliqa, led by “Abu Haroun Al-Salafi”, in “Al-Saq” area, inflicting heavy causalities in al-Amaliqa’s ranks.

The coalition air raids failed to break the siege on the “Al-Amaliqa” militants in the west of Shabwa.

Despite the intensity of the air raids of coalition in support “Al-Amaliqa” militants, the Sanaa forces repelled an attack north of Bayhan district of the province.
