NCM expects cold to very cold weather in coming 24 hours

SANAA, Jan. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) expected cold to very cold weather in several provinces within the next 24 hours.

The center stated, in its weather bulletin on Sunday, that the weather would focus in the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, Ibb, Al Dhalea, Lahj, Jawf and Marib.

It pointed out fog would be formed on parts of the western highlands of the provinces of Taiz, Lahj, Ibb, west of Saada, Hajjah, Mahweet and Raymah.

The center also expected a noticeable surface wind activity in the south of the Red Sea, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the western Gulf of Aden.

The NCM called on citizens, especially the elderly, children, patients, workers, to take the necessary precautions against the cold wave, advising motorists to drive carefully as a result of low visibility due to the formation of fog.
