Commander of 2nd Amaliqa Brigade killed in Shabwa

SHABWA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – A commander of the Second Brigade of Amaliqa forces, backed by the Saudi-led coalition, was killed on Tuesday in Osaylan district of Shabwa province, east of Yemen.

Local sources familiar with the matter said that the UAE-funded commander, Samih Jarada, was targeted during a military operation waged by the Yemeni army in the area of “Haid bin Saban” in Osaylan desert.

The killing of Jarada came in light of the talk about the brigade being subjected to heavy losses on the battlefronts in the desert.
