Sanaa marks second martyrdom anniversary of Soleimani, al-Muhandis
SANAA, Jan. 04 (YPA) – An official and popular event was held in Sanaa on Monday to marking the second martyrdom anniversary of the former commander of the Islamic Revolution Guard [IRG] Quds Force Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units’ Deputy Commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and their companions.
The head of the national Salvation Government, Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, said in a speech during the event that Yemen is part of the axis of resistance in the face of the Zionist-American project and their tools.
He stressed that Palestine is an inclusive issue that transcends nationalities in which all the free people of the world solidarity with it, adding Palestine is the gem of the nation, and armed struggle is the only way to liberate it.
“Resistance is not a matter of temperament, it is a moral obligation to religious and national issues, and we have an obligation to stand with all the free people of the world, not just resistance in Palestine and Lebanon,” he said.
He pointed out that Qassem Soleimani embodied the spirit of the solid resistance that exceeded the barriers and obstacles in the face of the American-Zionist project.
Regarding the Saudi-American aggression against Yemen, he said that the world is silently and shamefully watching the aggression and siege on the Yemeni people.
He recalled Iranian Ambassador Hassan Irlu, who stood with the Yemenis in their suffering.
“We are proud of the relationship with the Islamic Republic of Iran, which stood with Yemen at a time when the Arab countries abandoned us,” the prime minster said.
For his part, Mohammed Miftah, a member of the Yemeni scholars Association, said in a speech at the event, that the countries of arrogance are working to tear the nation apart, taking advantage of sectarian and ethnic titles.
Miftah stressed that the colonial project is the most evil in the history of the nation because it has advanced means, so we must exhaust our efforts to confront them.
He called on the mujahedeen in Palestine and throughout the axis of resistance to be more vigilant and alert military, security, technical and scientific, and urged scientists, academics and media to face the soft war.
“The propaganda that tries to separate Yemenis from the axis of resistance will not affect us. In addition, those who claim Arabism will rise in the arms of the Zionists and fight for them,” he explained
For its part, the speech of the Palestinian factions in Yemen confirmed that the leaders Soleimani and Mahdi al-Muhandis were martyred while carrying the banner of the right to confront the American Zionist project.
