US marines in Yemen’s Nehm district at CIA’s orders: Official

SANAA, Jan. 31 (YPA) – The Yemeni army’s spokesman Aziz Rashid on Wednesday confirmed the presence of US marines in Nehm’s front-line, eastern of Yemeni capital Sanaa.

The move came as an implementation of the orders signed by David Petraeus, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in 2011, which talked about launching US airstrikes against the anti-Washington policy groups in the middle of Asia and Yemen.

Commenting on video footage and images broadcasted recently by the American CNN TV channel over US marines in Nehm, the army spokesman said that that is only a prelude to more existence of US marines in the region.

He said the Saudi-led coalition war on Yemen “is an American, because it was announced from Washington with great American blessing.”
