SOCOTRA, Dec. 29 (YPA) – An earthquake of magnitude 4.3 struck off the coast of Socotra Island, southern Yemen, on Wednesday.
Global seismic monitoring centers reported that the 4.3 Richter magnitude marine quake at a depth of 10 kilometers hit the Arabian Sea with a water wave 7,449 off the coast of the Sultanate of Oman and the Yemeni island of Socotra.
This comes after a similar marine quake occurred off the coast of Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, last Friday, with a magnitude of 5.3.
