Iran shows off its might in maneuver involving ballistic missiles

TEHRAN, Dec. 22 (YPA) – Iranian state television reported on Tuesday that the Revolutionary Guards launched ballistic and cruise missiles during war games in the Gulf.

This comes amid escalating tension with the United States and the Israeli occupation over possible Israeli plans to target nuclear sites in Iran.
The Revolutionary Guards commander, General Hossein Salami, told the television that “the use of ballistic missiles by the naval forces of the Revolutionary Guard represents a new concept, and they hit their targets with 100% accuracy.”

Iranian media indicated that the five-day exercises, which began on Monday, also included the launch of five cruise missiles at the same time, and drones loaded with weapons, each of which can hit two targets.

Iran said that its ballistic missiles have a range of 2,000 kilometers and are capable of reaching Tel Aviv and US bases in the region.

This comes after Iran warned on Monday of a “crushing” response to any move targets it by the Israeli occupation, which opposes the efforts of world powers to revive the 2015 nuclear agreement.
