Shabwa sheikhs refuse to turn their areas into battleground

SHABWA, Dec. 21 (YPA) – Sheikhs and dignitaries of three districts of Shabwa province on Tuesday renewed their refusal to turn their areas into a battlefield by establishing camps and implementing foreign agendas.

The sheikhs and notables of the districts of Mayfa’a, Radhoum and Al-Rawdha in Shabwa demanded the speedy operation of the Balhaf gas facility, which has been under the control of the Emirati forces since 2016.

They announced their rejection of the continued presence of the UAE forces and their militias in the facility, considering that operating the facility would solve many of the economic problems that Yemen suffers from.
