Parliament speaker calls on Quartet States to stop war, apologize to Yemeni people

SANAA, Dec. 20 (YPA) – The Speaker of Yemeni Parliament, Yahya Ali Al-Ra’I has on Sunday stressed the importance of immediately stop of Saudi aggression, lifting the blockade and opening all Yemeni ports, most of which  Hodeidah ports and Sanaa International Airport.

In a session held today, the Speaker of the House affirmed that Yemen defends its sovereignty, unity, security and stability, and did not  attack anyone.

“If the so-called Quartet (the countries leading aggression against Yemen,  America, Britain, Saudi Arabia and the UAE) really want peace, they should declare an end to the war, open the ports immediately, apologize to the Yemeni people, and reassure them in a practical practice,” he said.

“We are in favor of peace, not surrender, and we extend our hands to the honorable and just peace that preserves Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, security and stability,” he stated.

“The aggression war destroyed Yemen and doubled the suffering of its children since more than seven years. It had disastrous effects starting with the transfer of central bank to Aden and the consequent suspension of employee salaries. Pumping the market with counterfeit currencies, which led to the deterioration of the national currency, and caused the worst economic crisis, especially in the occupied cities,” he explained.

He denounced the statements issued by the Petroleum Company in Aden to request the transfer of gas to Aden without taking into account the fair distribution among all provinces of the Republic in accordance with the concentration of population and needs.
