Fierce fighting on Yemeni-Saudi border renewed

JAWF, Dec. 17 (YPA) – Fierce clashes have resumed between the National salvation government forces, on the one hand, and Saudi-led coalition forces and their armed groups on the other, in the desert areas in Jawf province northern Yemen and Saudi Arabia’s southern border.

The coalition forces launched a military offensive in an attempt to retake strategic areas that fell into the hands of  the Sana’a forces two days ago in the Al-Yatmah desert in Khub  Washaef district, well-informed  sources told Yemeni Press Agency,

Moreover, the sources said that coalition forces under heavy air cover advanced from Najran towards the Qashan Mountains and Wadi Salba, where fierce fighting has been taking place between the two sides.

The sources confirmed that Sana’a forces thwarted the coalition’s attack, leaving dozens of them dead and wounded.
