Workshop discusses ways to reduce plastic pollution in Sanaa

SANAA, Dec. 16 (YPA) – A workshop was organized on Thursday in Sanaa to discuss ways reducing plastic pollution reducing plastic pollution and its negative effects.

The participants, in the workshop, stressed the importance of coordination between all government sectors, local authorities, the private sector and community organizations, to activate community control to reduce the negative effects of plastic pollution.

They called for supporting and strengthening the monitoring and evaluation system for development plans in reducing plastic pollution, environmental fields.

The workshop recommended encouraging the production and use of alternatives from natural resources, supporting investment in plastic recycling to reduce plastic waste by preparing and implementing awareness campaigns through the media.
