Joint naval exercises between Iran, Oman kick-off

WORLD, Dec. 16 (YPA) – The ninth round of joint exercises between the Iranian naval force and its Omani counterpart began Thursday morning in Iranian territorial waters off the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman.

This naval maneuver comes within the agreement between the two sides to carry out joint rescue and relief activities in the region of the Sea of Oman and the Strait of Hormuz.

Parts of the Iranian Navy, the Coast Guard, the Ports, Maritime Navigation Organization, and a group of Omani naval vessels, are participating in this round of maneuvers, with the backing of helicopters from both countries.
