Coalition-appointed Aden governor arrives in Cairo

ADEN, Dec. 14 (YPA) – Aden governor, appointed by the Saudi-led coalition, Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, left suddenly the city of Aden, south of Yemen, heading to the Egyptian capital, Cairo.

The step came with the escalation of tensions in the city between armed factions of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council and redeployed its forces in the city’s streets, which threatens to explode the military situation.

According to local sources said, Lamles’ departure came in protest against the council’s continued security chaos in the city.

The forces of the 8th Sector in the security belt of the council redeployed in conjunction with the approaching end of the deadline for the head of the council, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, handing over the Sheikh Othman district to the security belt’s forces, which may lead to an explosion of the military situation inside the city.
