STC militia announces control of first district of Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, Dec. 13 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, announced on Monday that they had taken control of the first district from the province districts.

Media sources indicated that the so-called “Barashid Brigade” faction, led by Abduldaym Al-Shua’ibi, organized a popular festival in Yabu`th district in Hadramout to welcome the deployment of the brigade’s forces, which the “Hadi government” demands to be expelled from the province.

Barashid Brigade faction announced the deployment of its forces that were stationed west of Mukalla city.

The deployment of the Barshid Brigade, which receives directions from the Presidency of the STC in Aden, comes as part of the continued siege imposed by the tribes of Hadramout Wadi and desert loyal to the Council on the oil and gas areas in the province.

YPA
