Washington renames Saudi Embassy Street after Khashoggi

WASHINGTON, Dec. 09 (YPA) – The Washington city council has approved a bill to rename the street of the Saudi embassy in the United States after Jamal Khashoggi, the dissident journalist, who was killed by the Saudi regime in early October 2018.

“Yahoo News” website said Thursday that the move represents a clear rebuke to Saudi Arabia, and the idea is to continue reminding the world of the brutal murder of Khashoggi at the hands of a team of Saudi killers sent by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The website added, “The name – Jamal Khashoggi Street – will be a disgrace and embarrassment to Saudi diplomats, and everyone who visits them.”

Khashoggi was brutally murdered inside the Saudi consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul in October 2018 by a team of assassins, whom US intelligence concluded that bin Salman had given the order.
