Int’l organization reveals death of 28 detainees under torture in UAE secret prisons in Yemen
SANAA, June 12 (YPA) – Human Rights Watch organization in the Arab world, based in the Netherlands, revealed the death of about 28 detainees in the prisons of the UAE forces in southern Yemen.
The organization also revealed that the UAE supervised of 18 secret detainees in the provinces of Aden and Hadramout, south of Yemen, where detainees are subjected to the worst cases of torture and torture by traditional means and modern torture tools, according to testimonies and statements of former detainees.
Human Rights Watch estimated the number of political detainees and activists in Yemeni and UAE prisons in Yemen is more than 14,000.
A limited number of detainees have been released over the past three years through exchanges of prisoners kiss him, the organization said.
