FM meets with Head of Dutch delegation of MSF

SANAA, Nov. 16 (YPA) – Foreign Minister, Eng. Hisham Sharaf Abdallah,on Tuesday met with the Head of the Dutch delegation for Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF), Elisabeth Bejtelar.

During the meeting, they discussed the health situation in Yemen and the deterioration of the humanitarian situation due to the suffering and lack of equipment and capabilities as a result of the aggression and siege.

The meeting reviewed the activities of the Dutch organization Doctors Without Borders for the current year, and its work plan for the year 2022 AD.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed the National Salvation Government’s appreciation for the efforts made by the organization in the various governorates.

He stressed the need to provide the necessary health, living and educational support for the displaced who left their areas of residence and lost their jobs during the past years due to the aggression, whose number reached nearly four million displaced people across the country.

For her part, the Head of the Dutch delegation for Doctors Without Borders indicated that the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Yemen will be of the priority of organization and that it is seeking, according to its capabilities, to provide possible assistance.
