One of YEMAC workers wounded in Bayda

SANAA, Nov. 01 (YPA) – One of the deminers in the team of the Yemen Executive Mine Action Centre (YEMAC) was injured on Monday while performing his humanitarian duties in Bayda province.

In a statement, the center confirmed that the injured Mohammed Hussein Yahya Abbad, was targeted while dismantling one of the explosive devices left by al-Qaeda members in the Al-Zahir district.

The terrorist elements planted thousands of explosive devices next to the homes and farms before the Yemeni army liberated the district.

The terrorist elements turned most of the schools, health centers and vocational institutes into workshops for the manufacture of explosive devices and belts during their control of those areas.
