President Al-Mashat stresses on Culture Ministry’s role in raising awareness, correcting concepts

SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, on Sunday stressed the importance of the role of the Ministry of Culture in spreading awareness, correcting concepts and highlighting Yemen’s scientific and historical wealth.

During his meeting today with Minister of Culture Abdullah Al-Kibsi, President Al-Mashat called for activating the role of theater because of its significance in highlighting the manifestations of Yemeni steadfastness throughout history and exposing the crimes of the US-Saudi aggression.

He noted the importance of overcoming the obstacles that the previous regimes put in place to limit the role of the Ministry of Culture in spreading national culture within the context of the war on Yemen.

President Al-Mashat praised the recently produced Yemeni drama, which highlighted the Yemeni people’s values and morals they carry in their authentic customs and traditions.

The meeting discussed the workflow at the Ministry of Culture, its bodies and institutions, and its most important needs to overcome the challenges imposed by the Saudi-led coalition that quested to obliterate the features of successive Yemeni civilizations and the faith identity of the Yemeni people.
