SANAA, Oct. 31 (YPA) – Sanaa forces have carried out a preemptive military operation against the American forces in the oil provinces of Marib and Shabwa, eastern Yemen, according to information obtained by Yemen Press Agency on Sunday.
The information confirmed that the American forces were planning an airdrop of their forces to control the oil facilities in Safer area in Marib and Shabwa under the pretext of protecting the oil facilities there, similar to the presence of their forces in Hadramout province.
Sanaa forces’ lightning liberation of Bayda province during “Fajr Al-Hurriya” operation, in addition to “Usailan, Baihan, and Ain districts in Shabwa, has cut off the road to the American presence in Shabwa, and turned the US arrangements upside down.
Bayda is located in the middle of four southern and four northern provinces, and its liberation from Al-Qaeda elements by Sanaa forces represented a painful military strike for the American project that was aiming at directing these elements to control the Shabwa and Marib oil fields.
Over the past months, the American forces have sent their military planes to Al-Rayyan Airport in Mukalla city of Hadramout, carrying soldiers and military equipment, the last of which were a number of soldiers and weapons that were transferred to the coastal defense headquarters in “Qarat Al-Faras” area between Hadramout and Shabwa.
Activists from Hadramout circulated pictures of the American forces, accompanied by search dogs, in the streets of ‘Ghayl Bawazeer’ city, east of Mukalla, setting up checkpoints on the roads leading to the city.
American, British and Israeli forces had taken Al-Ghaydah Airport in Mahra province, east of Yemen, as a military base on the Arabian Sea, after the Saudi and Emirati forces took control of the province in November 2017.
