Two killed, 110 wounded in Sudan’s protests

KHARTOUM, Oct. 31 (YPA) – The Central Committee of Sudanese Doctors said Saturday that two protesters were killed and more than 110 were wounded in  the so-called march of millions  in several cities on Saturday.

Thousands of Sudanese took to the street to protest the decisions of army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, which they described as a “military coup”, the committee said in a statement posted on its Facebook account.

According to the committee, the talk is focusing on the initial monitoring of cases of casualties resulting from the brutal violence of the militias of the coup d’état in their defeated attempts to suppress the million-man demonstration,” he Sudan Doctors Committee said.

Protests began Monday, when General Abdel-Fattah Burhan declared a state of emergency and announced the dissolution of a landmark transitional government established in 2019. But Saturday’s “March of Millions” is expected to be the largest coordinated demonstration yet.
