Sheikh Mohammed al-Amir: The army and the popular committees have a commitment towards the people of Marib

SANAA. Oct. 30 (YPA) – Member of the National Reconciliation Committee in Marib, Sheikh Mohammed Al-Amir, affirmed that the Army and Committees have fully abided by what they pledged to the people of Marib.

In an interview with Al-Masirah TV, he said that Saudi Arabia and the UAE were vulnerable and weak countries and had committed a historical mistake against themselves in Yemen.

Member of the Reconciliation Committee praised the free people of Marib for welcoming the initiative, describing it as achieving what any citizen aspired to do.

He stressed that many of those who rejected the initiative are under pressure, under threat, and some of them are under house arrest in the countries of aggression, praising the participation of many people from Marib in the operation of liberating the city from foreign presence and mercenary forces.

He explained that the conviction of the citizens in most of the directorates that were recently liberated had a role in speeding up the achievement and avoiding bloodshed.

He added that the liberated areas prove the leadership’s readiness and sincerity in fulfilling and that the people of Marib will be the first to benefit from the liberation of the city and their empowerment of their rights.

Sheikh Al-Amir affirmed that after clearing Al-Jubah, there is nothing left except for the districts of Al-Madinah and Al-Wadi, explaining that there are many notables, sheikhs and free men within the two districts who are convinced that the city will spare the war and the opportunity is left to the deceived to change their convictions, otherwise the consequences are not good.
