KHARTOUM, Oct. 28 (YPA) – The Sudanese state television reported on Wednesday, that the Commander-in-Chief of the army, Lieutenant-General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, has dismissed six Sudanese ambassadors from their posts.
Al-Burhan dismissed the Sudanese ambassadors to the United States, the European Union, Qatar, China and France, and the head of the Sudanese mission in Geneva.
A diplomatic source told Reuters on Tuesday that Sudan’s ambassadors to 12 countries, including the United States, China and France, had rejected the army’s seizure of power in Sudan last Monday.
Sudan’s ambassadors to France, Switzerland and Belgium issued a joint statement on Tuesday, rejecting the military coup against the transitional government headed by Abdulla Hamdok.
“We condemn in the strongest terms the brutal military coup against your glorious revolution, and welcome strong international positions,” according to the statement obtained by the Sudanese Ministry of Culture and Information.
