Al-Tawahi area in Aden witnesses heavy gunfire

ADEN, Oct. 10 (YPA) – Al-Tawahi area in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, witnessed on Sunday evening heavy gunfire, local sources said.

The sources confirmed that anti-aircraft guns in the “Gold Moor” area fired heavily at unidentified drones, which flew intensively over the same area.

The flight of the drones in Aden came after accusations by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) to Islah Party of being behind the explosion that targeted the convoy of the governor of Aden affiliated with the STC.

The Islah party had obtained dozens of Turkish drones early this year, and a team of its members had undergone military training at the Turkish base in Somalia.
