Decision to raise prices of oil derivatives sparks popular discontent in Mahra

MAHRA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The decision to raise the prices of oil derivatives in Mahra province, east of Yemen, sparked a state of great popular discontent and resentment.

Mahra citizens denounced the decision, which negatively affects people’s lives, increasing citizens’ suffering, and poverty.

They affirmed that the decision would lead to a rise in the prices of all food and exacerbate the suffering of citizens in light of difficult living conditions, in additional to the deterioration of the local currency.

Social media witnessed a state of rejection and denunciation of the decision, in light of the citizens’ fear in the province and the deterioration of the local currency.
