Several people killed in Kabul explosion

KABUL, Oct. 03 (YPA) – A number of civilians have been killed in an explosion outside a mosque in the Afghan capital of Kabul on Sunday, a senior Taliban official said.

The explosion occurred at the entrance to the Eid Gah mosque in Kabul, spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said on Twitter.

A prayer ceremony was held Sunday afternoon for Mujahid’s mother, who died last week, at the mosque, the spokesman wrote on social media on Saturday, adding “all people and friends are invited to attend”.

There have been no details yet on how the blast occurred and how many people might have been killed or wounded in the explosion.
