Higher Education Minister stresses importance to convey Yemen’s culture to world

SANAA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Sanaa, Ali Sharaf al-Din stressed the importance of translation and its active role in conveying the identity and culture of Yemen to the world.

This came in a special event organized by the Department of Translation at Al-Hikma University on Thursday on the occasion of the International Day of Translation, which falls on September 30 of each year.

The deputy minister indicated that translation is one of the important means and the eye of truth to convey the history, identity and civilization of Yemen to the world through translating the books of history, literature and culture that abound in Yemen.

Dr. Sharaf al-Din directed universities to take down all pictures related to people and replace them with the slogan of the faith identity, in a step to implement the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council.
