Islah militants abduct leader in STC in Shabwah

SHABWAH, Sept. 17 (YPA) – Special security forces loyal to Islah party kidnapped a leader in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia in Shabwah province, eastern Yemen, local sources said on Friday.

According to the sources, the Islah militants abducted Salem Al-A’ssar al-Awlaki, the deputy of media director of the STC, in the center of the city of Ataq, while he passing with his family after binge discharged from the hospital.

Islah gunmen took Al-Awlaki to an unknown destination without taking into account his family and children, without any legal form, the sources said.
