Transport Minister extends more facilities for importers through Hodeidah Port

HODEIDAH, Sept. 14 (YPA) – The Minister of Transport in the National Salvation Government, Amer Al-Marani, on Tuesday extended benefits and facilities to shipping companies, merchants and importers through the port of Hodeidah,  in order to contribute in maintaining a low level of prices and alleviates the suffering of citizens.

During a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Yemeni Red Sea Ports Corporation today, al-Marani stressed the importance of alleviating  the suffering of the Yemeni people and providing their basic needs of food and medicine at low prices.

He pointed to the role of the Ports Corporation in alleviating the suffering of citizens through services and facilities for ships entering the ports of Hodeidah and Salif.

The minster stressed the readiness of the ministry, the corporation and the concerned to offer more facilities for commercial ships arriving at the port of Hodeidah, which will contribute to the reactivation of its commercial activity.

He called on agencies, shipping companies and the private sector to contribute effectively in lifting the seven-year blockade of the port.
