NCM expects probability of precipitation within 24 hours

SANAA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology expected chance of uneven rain on most of Yemeni provinces within the coming 24 hours.

The center affirmed in its weather forecast that the rains would prevail over the mountainous heights and coastal areas in the provinces of Taiz, Lahj, Ibb, Dhalea, Rayma, Mahweet, Hajjah, Mahra, Shabwa, Hadramout, Bayda, and Abyan.

It pointed to the continuation of the activity of the southwest monsoon winds on the Socotra archipelago, which disturb the sea and raise the waves.

The center warned citizens in areas where rain expected to avoid being in the valleys and the waterways during and after the rain, calling on motorists to drive carefully due to low horizontal visibility as a result of rain or forming fog.
