Hadramout announces suspension of process of buying, selling currencies

HADRAMOUT, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The Hadramout Money Exchange Association issued an urgent circular on Thursday morning, to stop currency trading in all exchange companies from the time the circular was issued until further notice.

The association confirmed, during a statement issued by it, that the process of buying and selling currencies in exchange shops would be halted and all debit balances would be liquidated from Thursday until further notice.

The statement also pointed to the need to adhere to the directives, in light of the unprecedented collapse of the local currency, where the dollar recorded a price of 1085 Yemeni riyals, while the Saudi riyal equaled about 284 Yemeni riyals.
