Iran stresses that resistance is only option to liberate Palestine

TEHRAN, Sept. 04 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian has stressed that “the resistance is the only option to liberate Palestine and end the occupation.”

This came during a phone call Abdollahian made with Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Palestinian Hamas movement, in which he assured Haniyeh of Tehran’s support for the Palestinian cause.

In his call, Abdullahian pointed out that Iran supports holding a referendum among the indigenous people in Palestine to determine their fate.

The Iranian foreign minister affirmed that Iran would continue to support the struggle of the Palestinian people to form an independent state on the lands of historic Palestine, with Al-Quds as its capital.

It is noteworthy that Abdullahian declared last July that Israel would not have a place in the region. His statement came on the background of the announcement of the opening of the Israeli embassy in Abu Dhabi.
