Ministry of Human Rights inaugurates special unit for women protection

SANAA, Sept. 01 (YPA) – The Ministry of Human Rights in Sanaa inaugurated on Wednesday a case management unit for women applicants to the ministry.

At the inauguration, the Acting Minister of Human Rights, Ali Al-Dailami, considered that an important step for the protection of women and the provision of auxiliary services to them.

Al-Dailami stressed the need for coordination and cooperation between the unit and the relevant authorities to enhance women’s access to appropriate referral services, confirming the ministry’s interest in women’s issues.

General Director of Women’s Development at the Ministry, Mona Al-Saqqaf, said that the establishment of the unit aims to protect women from any violations or violence and to provide them with knowledge and skills to enhance self-confidence and take appropriate decisions.
