Saudi forces place STC’s commanders under house arrest in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 30 (YPA) – The Saudi forces placed three military commanders in the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias under house arrest in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

According to informed sources, the Saudi move came on the background of the explosions that struck Al-Anad Air Base in Lahj province, south of Yemen.

The leadership of the Saudi forces at Al-Anad base issued orders to prevent the commander of the “Giant Brigades of the STC, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami, and two others, from traveling abroad, and placed them under house arrest in Aden.

The sources attributed Al-Mahrami was prevented from traveling, after being accused behind the Sunday’s bombings of Al-Anad Air Base.

The explosions that targeted the militants of the “Third Brigade”, which defected from the “Giant Brigades” funded by the UAE, left more than 100 dead and wounded, during the morning assembly in the base.

On Sunday, Al-Mahrami, stormed the military stores of the “Third Brigade” on the western coast, in conjunction with the explosions that targeted the recruits of the brigade led by Abu Eisha al-Lahji, who defected from the “Giant Brigades”, rejecting the directives of the leadership of the UAE forces.
