Zionist settlers smash 9 Palestinian vehicles in Hebron

SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – A group of settlers smashed the windows of a number of vehicles near the Ibrahimi Mosque in the city of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Citizens reported that a group of settlers smashed the windows of a number of citizens’ vehicles, in Jaber neighborhood, near the Ibrahimi Mosque.

They pointed out that there is an escalation in the settlers’ attacks against Palestinian families and their properties, in the vicinity of the settlement outposts inside the Old City of Hebron.

Last night, the Zionist enemy forces closed the Tel Rumeida area and Al-Shuhada Street in the center of Hebron, and prevented citizens from entering and leaving the military checkpoints that surround the area, forcing them to wait hours in front of these checkpoints before they were allowed to reach their homes.

The city of Hebron suffers from the presence of more than fifty outposts in which about thirty thousand settlers live, working to strengthen the comprehensive grip on the city.

The enemy government and the settlement groups are accelerating time in order to seize the largest possible amount of land, establish more settlements and build roads.

Since the enemy, the city of Hebron in 1967 and then the construction of the “Kiryat Arba” settlement, the enemy has sought to turn the old city of Hebron into a settlement, helped by the division of the city into two parts by the Oslo Agreement, which put Hebron and the Ibrahimi Mosque completely under the enemy’s control.
