US raises concerns about China’s rapprochement with Israeli occupation

SANAA, Aug. 20 (YPA) – CIA director Willian Burns reportedly raised US concerns to Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett over  China’s participation in a number of vital projects in occupied Palestine.

According to the Hebrew intelligence website Walla, this came during meetings held by Burns and Bennett during the senior US official’s visit to occupied Palestine last week.

The Hebrew website quoted an Israeli official as saying that the entity had begun “dialogue with the Biden administration on China in recent months.”

“The United States has questions about certain projects that the occupying power has undertaken in conjunction with China, such as China’s participation in the construction of the Tel Aviv metro,” he said.

“The head of US  intelligence has expressed to Bennett that the China issue is of great interest to US President Joe Biden,” the website added.

“The convergence of relations between China and the occupation in the past has been a source of tension between the administration of former President Donald Trump and the government of Benjamin Netanyahu,” according to the website.

US officials have warned against Chinese investments in Israeli tech firms and involvement in Israel’s infrastructure, especially a Chinese company’s work at Haifa’s port.
