Army makes great field achievement against coalition in Marib

SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces achieved a new field victories in the battlefields against the Saudi-led coalition forces in the south of Marib province.

According to sources, the forces of Sanaa launched a large-scale military attack towards the positions of the coalition forces in the south of the oil-rich province, which led to control important strategic sites on Jabal Murad front.

The sources indicated that armed groups affiliated with Brigadier General “Abad Ahmed al-Halisi,” chief of staff of the 143rd Infantry Brigade, who was killed two weeks ago, fled from their positions in Jabal Murad district towards the city of Marib.

The Sanaa forces continued their advance towards the southern gate of the city of Marib, which is witnessing fierce battles between the two sides.

The Chief of Staff of the 143rd Infantry Brigade, Abad Ahmed Al-Halisi was killed when his forces waged failed attack towards the positions of the Sana’a forces in Jabal Murad district.
