SANAA, Aug. 19 (YPA) – Top member in the Supreme Political Council, Mohammed Ali al-Houthi urged all parties to encourage the private and commercial sector and provide more benefits to importers from all provinces of the Republic of Yemen through the port of Hodeidah.
He called to facilitate measures for trade and reactivate its activities to keep pace with international shipping.
This came during a meeting held on Wednesday in Sanaa, in which he discussed arrangements for the reception of ships and containers in the port of Hodeidah.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Abdul Wahab Al-Durra, Minister of Transport Amer Al-Marani and Deputy Minister of Industry Mohammed Al Hashimi.
At the meeting, Al-Houthi stressed the need to activate coordination between the ministries of industry, transport, the private sector, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the shipping sector in the importing process from the port of Hodeidah for various goods.
He pointed out that these meetings aimed to discuss any problems facing the private sector and develop solutions .
Al-Houthi stressed that the Supreme Political Council will spare no effort in supporting this sector and overcoming the difficulties it faces in order to enable it to play its development role as required.
He further stressed the importance of concerted government and private sector efforts to prevent the traders who are trying to exploit the current situation to manipulate the prices of certain materials.
Al-Houthi praised for the position of the chambers of commerce and industry in all provinces rejecting the decisions of the mercenary government to raise the price of tariffs and print illegal currencies.
