Armed clashes leave dead, injured in Aden

ADEN, Aug. 16 (YPA) – A person was killed and two others were injured on Monday due to armed confrontations broke out between the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militias in the city of Aden, southern Yemen.

“The clashes erupted between STC’s members in ‘Ras Abbas’ area at the entrance to Salah Al-Din neighborhood in Al-Buriqa district, leaving one dead and two wounded,” local sources said.

The sources explained that the clashes erupted against the background of the dispute over a plot of land between gunmen of the STC and conscripts of ‘Aboud’ camp.
