2 workers killed due to mine blast in Deir Ezzor in Syria

DEIR EZZOR, Aug. 12 (YPA) – Two Syrian workers from the Department of Energy Transmission in Deir Ezzor were killed on Wednesday as a result of the explosion of a mine left behind by “ISIS” terrorists.

Syrian News Agency (SANA) quoted Chief of the Department of Energy Transmission in Deir Ezzor, Engineer Muhammad Aliwi, as saying: “While the department’s workshops were working to rehabilitate Al-Mayadin – Al-Bukamal line, their car was exposed to the explosion of a mine left behind by terrorist organizations near the town of Al-Duwair, killing two workers.”

Before their defeat from the areas in which they were deployed, terrorist organizations planted mines and explosive devices and hid them in villages and towns and in agricultural lands to inflict the greatest possible harm on the people who return to their areas after liberating them from terrorism.
