SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – Taliban fighters  have claimed of taking  control over the  northern Afghan city of Aybek, the capital of northern Afghanistan’s Samangan province, becoming the sixth afghan state capital to fall to the group since NATO forces began to leave the country.

The group’s spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid, said on his Twitter account on Monday that the city of Aybek is “out of the control of the mercenary enemy,” referring to Afghan security forces, after fighting in various areas fought by government forces with the group’s militants.
