Zionist enemy demolishes facilities, shops in Ya’bad

SANAA, Aug. 9 (YPA) – The bulldozers of the Zionist enemy demolished on Monday morning several facilities and shops near the entrance to the town of Yabad, Jenin district, north of the occupied West Bank.

Eyewitnesses reported that an enemy military bulldozer demolished a commercial store, barracks and facilities near the entrance to Yabad on the road leading to the “Mvodotan” settlement, under the pretext of building without a permit from the enemy. Classified “C”.

The mayor of Ya`bad Samer Abu Bakr told Wafa that the occupation forces demolished three commercial facilities at the southern entrance to the town of Ya`bad, under the pretext of building without a permit.

He added that the enemy forces demolished a water tank used to irrigate agricultural crops on the road between the towns of Ya’bad and Arrabeh, belonging to a citizen of the Al-Shaer family from the town of Arrabeh.

Abu Bakr indicated that clashes erupted in the place between the youths and the enemy forces, who fired stun grenades and tear gas at them, causing a number of them to suffocate.

The settlements occupy a total area of ​​about 2,942 dunums of Jenin Governorate lands.

Jenin is surrounded by nine settlements distributed in the form of belts surrounding the city and the population centers, in order to stifle the areas of its expansion, to cut the geographical and demographic communication, and to facilitate the control of the population, in addition to confiscating the largest possible amount of land and isolating it with barbed wire, and settling thousands of settlers.

Last July, a human rights report documented that the occupation forces demolished 32 homes, in addition to dozens of homes whose residents were notified of the demolition, while the enemy forces and settlers demolished 47 establishments between commercial stores, agricultural facilities and barracks, and confiscated 19 properties.
