Rescue vehicles appear for first time in Sanaa

SANAA, Aug. 09 (YPA) – The rescue teams cars of the Civil Defense Department appeared on Sunday in the capital Sanaa, for the first time in the history of the city and the country.

This comes in conjunction with the activation of the early warning sirens of floods that were recently installed along the main rainwater stream (Al-Saiylah) in the old city of Sanaa.

The rescue vehicles were deployed on the banks of Al-Saiylah, in conjunction with torrential rain that flows in Al-Saiylah that is in the center of the city and causes the drowning of citizens and the swept away of vehicles.

Sources said that the Interior Ministry in Sanaa has plans to develop the rescue unit to carry out various rescue missions, after it was an inactive unit.
