Norwegian Council calls for investigation in Sanaa air raids
SANAA, June 7 (YPA) – The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) called on investigation about the Saudi-led coalition aristrikes which targeted Hadda district of the capital Sana’a that led to the destruction of the council’s guest house,the Regional Director of the Norwegian Refugee Council for East Africa and Yemen said in a statement.
“This attack shows the use of powerful weapons in populated areas placed the civilians at risk and the coalition must refrain from doing so, “the Director added.
The attack injured seven civilians, including four children, and destroyed several houses, including a guest house of the Council.
The Norwegian Refugee Council provided all parties, including the Saudi-led coalition, with information and coordinates on its operations to ensure the safety of its staff, he said.
The Director of Council expressed concern about the air strike that fell near council facilities.
The Council called on all parties to put an immediate end to random and , deliberate attacks on civilians or infrastructure and to take all necessary precautions to avoid and minimize civilian casualties.
